Senior Cloud (AWS/Azure) Engineer

Teradata DTU seeks a Cloud (AWS/Azure) Engineer to help build, enhance, and support our Cloud automated deployments and to build the next set of services/features to make DTU available as-a-service on public cloud platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

Implement enhancements to DTU deployments and services on AWS/Azure cloud platforms working with stakeholders such as Developers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers.

• DTU deployment automation/enhancements on AWS/Azure
• Implement security requirements for DTU services, deployments on Cloud platforms.
• Usage of Docker/Kubernetes for DTU deployment
• Contributing to an agile development team
• Participating in design discussions and code reviews 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
• 4-8 years of professional software development experience
• Strong working experience in public clouds such as AWS or Azure.
• Good working knowledge on cloud deployment templates (CFT/Azure Templates/EC2)
• Good working knowledge on serverless functions (Lambdas/ Azure functions)
• Good working knowledge on DNS management and certificate management authority (Route53, ACM)
• Good working knowledge on networking and security (VPC, Private link services, transit gateway, firewall, API gateway)
• Good understanding on policy management for user and roles.
• Good working knowledge in python programming.
• Knowledge over cloud monitoring tools (cloud watch)
• Good understanding on cloud architectures
• Good Experience with microservices
• Experience building applications based on J2EE technologies and Spring framework including Spring Boot
• Use of defect tracking tools such as JIRA
• Good experience in Git, GitHub, branching
• Good experience in container technology building Docker/Kubernetes images
• Familiarity with internet and network security; developing secure code within a cloud environment
