Role Summary

Teradata is a global leader in the data warehouse field. The Global Delivery Centre assigns its consultants to the largest and most sophisticated data warehouse (DWH), operational data stores (ODS), Data Lakes (DL) and other data repositories projects across the EU, for example in Poland, Austria, Italy, Sweden, UK, France, Czech Republic, etc.

We are looking for Data Engineer (aka ETL Developers/Analysts) to perform various tasks like analyses, database and architecture design, gathering business requirements, creating testing and implementation scenarios, developing and implementing planned solutions, configuring and running marketing campaigns in Teradata dedicated tools etc.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Performing customer interaction operational tasks for large, multilingual projects
  • Performing data warehouse tasks for large projects (database design, business analyses, defining business requirements, ETL development)
  • Deliver business and application specific consulting services included in the integrated Teradata solutions
  • Providing mapping and design of customer’s business needs to the Teradata database
  • Support the pre-sale process as well as client communication
  • Understand Business Data Model and logical mappings (source mappings, LDM mappings)
  • Create detailed, technical Source Target mappings
  • Perform unit testing and package jobs to be prepared for deployment
  • Develop and implement ETL solutions

 Basic requirements:

  • Experience in Teradata CIM (Customer Interaction Manager) application
  • Experience in retail
  • Any experience working on DWH projects
  • Experience with the creation/modification of Mapping or Technical ETL specifications (Source Target Mapping)
  • Excellent SQL know-how
  • Ability to write Stored Procedures and macros
  • Knowledge of Shell Scripting
  • ETL development and implementation experience
  • Flexibility in working from Warsaw (Poland) with business trips abroad if required by the customer
  • Advanced English and Polish language
  • EU passport is required
  • Based in Poland

Extended requirements:

  • Retail business experience
  • Familiar with CASE modelling
  • Experience in designing User Acceptance Tests
  • Experience with ETL tools and best practices
  • Experience with Teradata Tools and Utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, FastExport, TPT)
