Summary Description 

Teradata is looking for an experienced and skilled Paid Search Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Director of Digital, the right candidate will be responsible for running, maintaining, and optimizing the Teradata paid search program. This role is both hands-on and tactical and, as an individual contributor, this person will maximize our effectiveness in finding, targeting, and acquiring contacts and leads through the paid search channel. The Paid Search Marketing manager must be proficient in the Google Ads Platform and should ideally have experience working with other paid search platforms, domestic and global. A typical day will include working directly in Google Ads, reviewing analytics, optimizing campaigns, and reporting results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work, review, and perform daily account responsibilities associated with Google Ads, Bing AdCenter and other global search platforms
  • Monitor bids, budgets, impression share, quality score, page speed and other critical platform metrics daily
  • Create and manage large keyword lists including negative keywords
  • Partner with Brand on creative copy, and all graphical display needs
  • Manage Google Display Network including managed placement and exclusion lists
  • Execute strategies that meet or exceed company KPI’s and goals using keyword opportunities, account health, campaign structuring, targeting, settings, remarketing lists, sitelinks, audiences, bid adjustments, and other facets of paid search platforms.
  • Work closely with both the Brand and Demand-Generation teams to build out timely campaign support requests, as needed  
  • Determine and implement competitive paid search strategies
  • Review closely overall pacing to monthly budget constraints and makes changes, as needed, to hit spend goals exactly each and every month
  • Work globally with our EMEA and APJ partners on specific regional campaigns and be the key stakeholder in and for translation process oversight
  • Generate weekly and monthly reporting for all major metrics, goals, and program performance
  • Partner with the in-house digital team on creating best-in-class landing page experiences and the continuous a/b testing of those experiences
  • Keep pace with industry search trends and developments
  • Stay up to date on Google Ads product updates and improvements
  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search providers
  • Communicate frequently to team and management on project development, timelines, and program results
  • Work closely with the other team members, cross-channel, and cross-functionally

Skills & Attributes

  • Passionate about SEM and proactive in staying current on all the latest trends and best practices
  • Immediate understanding, knowledge, and expertise of the Google Ads platform
  • Familiar with tracking, attribution modeling, and has an ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong analytical abilities and deep experience with web analytic tools like PowerBI/Tableau
  • Global, multi-lingual SEO strategy experience
  • Hands-on understanding of online marketing including web, blogging, online advertising and search
  • Strong writing, editing and analytical skills
  • Skilled at understanding budgeting, budget pacing, and adjusting spend thresholds to ensure budgets are met and never exceeded
  • A self-starter who learns quickly and is comfortable with rapidly evolving expectations
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage many projects at a time
  • MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • An inquiring mind with a strong desire to learn

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be PPC-SME, digitally savvy and performance minded.
  • Can juggle multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to participate in phone conferences at potentially inconvenient times in order to accommodate our international audiences
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work on projects independently as well as with a team
  • Excellent communications skills
  • 4-5 years of Google Ads platform experience, a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using enterprise content management systems, multi-language translation & cultural distinction and analytic platforms (i.e., Power BI, Google Analytics)
  • Experience in an international environment; must have sensitivities to local culture, language variations), ability to work well with—and garner support from—many different people from many different backgrounds and cultures
  • Project management tools experience
  • Ability to manage multiple project stakeholders in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Must be flexible and able to think outside the box
  • Agency experience, a plus
