Position Title: Software Engineer (III)

External Description:

Summary Description: 

As a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team and designing, developing, and testing scalable client applications, and enhancing the Teradata Vantage Platform's existing client application’s features and performance. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

B Tech / M Tech Computer Science

Strong C/C++ programming skills and good knowledge of data structures.

Java knowledge would be a plus.

Good knowledge of SQL (ANSI/Database specific) and RDBMS.

Teradata and Data Warehousing knowledge would be a plus.

Working knowledge of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies

Scrum master experience would be a plus

Ability to work with Architects and Engineering Managers and translating concepts to products.

5+ years of design & development experience in C/C++.

Team Lead experience would be a plus. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Design, Develop and Test scalable applications of medium/high complexity

Analyze bugs, design fix and unit test changes.

Develop new features/change requests.

Create test plans

Create and automate unit tests, feature integration tests

Handle customer incidents

Oversee day-to-day team’s operations.
Monitor team performance and report on metrics/work status

Work Environment:

Requirements Analysis, Software Architecting, Software development, Unit/Integration testing, bug fixing. 

Key Competencies/Skills: 

• Software development skills including software architecting, design specification, test specification, coding, testing.
• Strong programming skills with C, C++
• Data structure and SQL knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team Leading expertise
• Knowledge of Teradata/any other RDBMS
