Your Opportunity

The Telemetry team is looking for a highly motivated engineering intern who can learn new technologies to help improve our products.  You will be working under the direction of a mentor, and although you will be working primarily independently you will also be interacting with other members of our highly talented team.

This internship opportunity focuses on building DevOps code for automated provisioning, de-provisioning, Setup & Configuration, runtime operations, and testability of Telemetry Software deployed in Amazon’s AWS, Microsoft’s Azure, and Google’s cloud platforms.  By the end of the internship this will have grown to be an important tool for us to rapidly and automatically deploy multi-cloud components that are fully instrumented, observable, and self-healing.  Through this internship, you will develop eminently relevant skills building rapidly-scalable, multi-cloud software using the latest tools and techniques. 

The ideal internship candidate is currently working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, is a self-starter who is passionate to learn and eager to work with a team of experienced software engineers to deliver compelling Cloud capabilities to Teradata’s advanced data and analytics products.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Programming experience on at least one significant project.
  • Basic knowledge of shell commands (e.g., bash).
  • Experience programming in Go, Java, or Python preferred.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible cloud provisioning frameworks desirable.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and architecture (certification is a plus).
  • Must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD degree program, in Computer Science or related field.
