JOB DESCRIPTION
Teradata seeks to appoint a new and key team member for our Telecommunications Sales team to assist in building on the successes of the existing team, with the aim of expanding the Data Analytics footprint and driving further growth and success.
·This is a quota carrying position and is the primary selling role for Teradata in the dedicated account/accounts and/or territory (the "Territory"). The Territory is the TELECOMM Industry where Teradata focuses on customers such as the biggest Telecommunication companies.
·Account Executive is responsible for effectively executing the sales process and managing new business development in the Territory. The role is responsible for maintaining, communicating, and executing the sales plan.
·We expect you to bring experience in selling and articulating the value of large enterprise IT solutions based on database technology, business intelligence and associated solutions and services, to customers and prospects. We also expect you will have experience with selling to the designated customer portfolio in the TELECOMM Industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Selling experience within the telco industry in Japan
- Selling experience on platform products, including cloud services
- Selling experience on professional services to mid-large deals
- Experience in creating new footprint deals, selling new products from demand creation- Establishing a professional working relationship, up to the executive level, with the client.
- Basic sales knowledge and skills are required.
