Our summer internship program lasts 10-12 weeks beginning in May/June and ending in August/September. Fast-paced, flexible, fun.

We hire students for technical internships positions to build our talent pipeline of bright and passionate people with the potential to share in our success. These positions will be available in a variety of different Teradata business units:

Cloud Engineering: 
Influence the future of cloud-based analytics solutions and services. Actively define and implement state of the art technical solutions, including capabilities to support elastic scalability, on-demand self-service, disaster recovery, and usage-based consumption, to enable customers to solve their most complex data analytics challenges.

Database Engineering: 
Design, code, and test enhancements for the Teradata and Aster Data database management software. Build new functionalities and features to our core database software. Includes file system, query optimization and execution and data related tools development.

Platform Engineering: 
Define platform architecture and specifications to enable Teradata to continue to lead the industry in performance, reliability and availability. Build solutions for virtual environments. Includes software development, installation development, client connectivity, packaging solutions, and system integration.

Data Analytics: 
Google it- Teradata is listed first. A proven leader in big data management and big data analysis for data-driven applications. Assist research and development by doing performance analysis, feasibility studies, and prototyping in technologies such as Big Data, Hadoop, MapReduce, and database extensibility.

Unified Data Architecture: 
Teradata’s Unified Data Architecture allows organizations to capture, deploy, support, manage, and seamlessly access all their data. Help advance development and design features that integrate our database, Hadoop, and big data analytics into one data warehousing solution.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must be enrolled in a MS or PhD program; with a graduation date between December 2021-June 2023.

Seeking students pursuing degrees in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Must be proficient in one or more programming language.

Must have good communication skills, ability to work in a team, and learn quickly.

Candidates with a GPA of 3.0 or greater will be given preferential consideration.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Understanding of relational database concepts, data structures and database internals such as file systems and query optimization.

Operating systems: Window, UNIX and Linux

Scripting experience: Python, Shell, Bash etc.

Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, Lambda

Previous intern or co-op experience.
