Your Opportunity

Teradata is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join the in-house digital marketing center of excellence. This role reports to the Senior Technical Web Developer Lead and manages critical QA tasks across Teradata’s leading site and other critical global domains. In this role, the QA Specialist will help to ensure our essential areas of web site and applications in the website ecosystem maintain the highest standards.  

 Key Responsibilities

  •  Website and application testing and other digital assets as needed
  • Ownership of assigned QA projects from inception to delivery
  • Contribute to the design and validate the functionality of designs and concepts 
  • Ensure site optimization functional, visual, and cross-browser validation
  • Track and maintain defect entry and workflow within defect tracker 
  • Maintain an active knowledge of new technologies and trends 
  • Familiar with UX, SEO, and Accessibility recommendations 
  • Develop quality assurance and testing to be carried out on the array of devices and operating systems as OS, Browser, Desktop and Mobile
  • Knowledge and Experience with API testing tools 
  • Implement and monitor the digital marketing QA program by defining quality standards 
  • Unit Driven Testing
  • Interface with senior management to set priorities for the department
  • Ability to develop test plans and procedures based on requirements
  • Knowledge of or experience with interactive technologies like HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, C# or other languages/technology

Required Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with design and development software and process
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with team members
  • Attention to detail, organizational with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Website Development and Testing
  • Website testing including bug tracking a must
  • Must be competent with all major browsers, able to use both Mac and PC, understand browser plug-ins
  • Must have experience developing and tracking metrics for quality assurance

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3-5 years of digital quality assurance experience
  • 2+ year working with Agile methodologies
  • Exceptional knowledge of software development lifecycle, test practices, and quality assurance
  • Experience working in JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience working with GIT and SVN version control systems
  • Experience developing automated testing and implementing best practices using Selenium, BrowserStack, or similar tools
  • Experience with visual regression testing
  • Experience with TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar systems for automating builds and deployment processes

Work Environment

  • This role will ideally be based out of our San Diego, CA location once it is safe to return to the office following COVID-19 measures.
