ETL Consultant – PowerCenter & Teradata 

 

Location: São Paulo

 

 

 

Job Summary   

 

The ETL Consultant will participate in the design, development, and implementation of ETL process/programs and scripts to acquire data from source systems to Teradata Tables, utilizing 3rd party ETL tools like PowerCenter and Teradata Utilities(TPT).

  

 

General Key Areas of Responsibility

 

• Support in the development of ETL process, developing the following activities:
• Data Modeling: design of logical and physical data models (logical design and physical design)
• Elaboration of data mapping
• Handling basic and advanced SQL. 
• Construction of scripts and queries in SQL Teradata and BTEQ (Basic Teradata Query).
• Construction of scripts in Teradata platform loaders and data transport (Teradata Tools and Utilities).
• Construction of PowerCenter ETL process including construction, testing, correction, adaptation, migration and deployment of maps, workflows, worklets, sessions and load jobs.
• Develop of data integration processes (ETL) using the features of the Informatica PowerCenter tool, especially the override option, together with the pushdown option for Teradata database.

 

 

 

Skills & Attributes

 

• Bachelor’s Degree or post degree on IT or Computer Sciences
• Proven experience of +3 years in data analytics projects related to Teradata / PowerCenter on one or more than the following: 

 

1. Business requirements gathering
2. Testing plans elaboration and execution
3. Homologation/approval plans creation
4. Creation, maintenance, adjustment or improvement of ETL Jobs
5. Planning tests (unitary, integrated and user acceptance) and deployments
6. Elaboration of the ETL strategy
7. Provide technical training (training, mentoring or workshops)
8. Knowledge transfer management

 

• Informatica PowerCenter Specialist certification is required.
• Portuguese / English spoken and written level.

 

 

Desirable Skills :

 

• Teradata certification.
