The Job: 

The Engineering Services group enables our product engineering teams with shift-left technologies and resources needed to deliver Pervasive Data Intelligence products. As a member of one of our fast-paced, High Performance teams, you will help us support engineering tools and data-driven solutions that are highly automated and secure. You will have the opportunity to advance Operational Excellence through automation, scripting, data extraction / visualization and technical support of engineering tools and services as well as work with cross-functional teams and end-users, both local and geographically dispersed. This associate-level technical position is based in our San Diego office and will work closely with senior members of the Engineering Tools Team.

Your Duties and Responsibilities (shall include but not be limited to):

  • Collaborate with the architecture team to create tools integration
  • Script in support of automating integration, testing, and dashboarding of engineering tools and processes
  • Create data-driven KPI dashboards
  • Participate in day-to-day operations for engineering tools using ITIL practices via ITSM (Ex: incidents, problems, changes, service requests)
  • Participate in the on-call team rotation (24/7) for P1 incidents related to engineering tools
  • Participate in periodic off-hour meetings with geographically dispersed team members to ensure success within Engineering Services and related projects
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations that are both innovative and security-focused
  • Contribute to process improvements for R&D operations that result in simplification, reduced processing times, or improves quality
  • Create and maintain logical diagrams and support documentation
  • Extract data from engineering tools, environments and services for decision-making and automation

Skills and Experiences You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • US Permanent Residence
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technology or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of DevOps or Engineering Operations experience
  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Technologist who:

  • Demonstrated Technical Qualifications
    • Scripting in one or more languages (Prefer Python)
    • Automating Testing and Integration of DevOps tools / apps (including the use of webhooks and REST API)
    • Retrieving and modifying data with SQL (Elasticsearch and Jira Query Language a plus)
    • Resolving technical incidents and problems for two or more highly available production applications and tools, both open source and COTS (prefer Jira, Black Duck, Jenkins, GitHub, Ixiasoft)
    • Supporting Applications in a Linux VMware Enterprise for a Global user community (Windows Server on VMware a plus)
    • Developing Dashboards (prefer PowerBI, Kibana, Jira, Zabbix)
