Interesting Work You’ll Be Responsible for:

  • Meet with customers and sales teams to understand market needs and identify customer pain points and provide feedback to the product teams for inclusion in our planning
  • Be responsible for market research to help drive strategy and business for the product – thus strengthening your expertise in data and analytics
  • Create a customer focus view of the product and present real business value to our entire organization. 
  • Establish and leverage cross organizational relationship and ecosystem partners  to bring a capability from idea all the way to success in the market.
  • Create and be the voice of the customer and define the what and the why of the features we build.
  • Lead a team of product managers and product owners to build a product roadmap and prioritize features.
  • Develop a metrics approach to measure everything and make decisions based on data.
  • Engage with, relate to and work with people from around the globe creating strong teams and partnerships.
  • Execute/perform on needed work and focus on driving to completion, and have fun.
  • Identify and drive innovation for products at a tech company that has been leading the industry for over 40 years.
  • Deliver features that the world’s most well know companies rely on to run their business.
  • Have a direct, visible impact on driving Teradata forward.

Qualifications: The basics

  • An established track record as a product management leader.
  • A history of building strong relationships with the analytic ecosystem partners.
  • Experience in advanced analytics / Machine Learning, databases, data warehouses, and data management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • The proven ability to influence without authority.
  • A team mindset and the ability to adapt.
  • Experience with agile development.
  • Outcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to specific details.
  • Experience working on a large, complex software platform involving many teams.

Qualifications: Things that will set you apart

  • Experience working for a SaaS company.
  • Experience creating business cases and managing business metrics.
  • Completed or pursuing an MBA.
  • Experience working with large enterprises.
  • Experience in software engineering, marketing, consulting, support or sales.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
