DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR:

Job Summary:

The Database Consultant determines the architecture, standards, methodology and tools used to manage information. Provides in-depth technical needs analysis and advises solution teams on database configuration and utilization issues during the client engagement. Responsible for DBA related tasks in key areas of:

System Administration
Database Administration
Backup, Archive & Restore Management
Performance Management & Reporting

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or other related fields
Strong technical knowledge in computer technology
5 plus (or equivalent) years of experience
Experience in Large systems (VLSI); NCR/Teradata, IBM, DEC-VAX, utilizing DB2, RDB, ORACLE DBMS Systems.
Experience in Teradata, Big 5 Consulting, System Integrators, etc.
Experience in Design and implementation of relational DBs at an enterprise level
Experience in Teradata and/or Other Databases

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Teradata, Big 5 Consulting, System Integrators, etc.
