DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR:

Job Summary:

The Database Consultant determines the architecture, standards, methodology and tools used to manage information. Provides in-depth technical needs analysis and advises solution teams on database configuration and utilization issues during the client engagement. Responsible for DBA related tasks in key areas of:

  • System Administration
  • Database Administration
  • Backup, Archive & Restore Management
  • Performance Management & Reporting

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or other related fields
  • Strong technical knowledge in computer technology
  • 5 plus (or equivalent) years of experience
  • Experience in Large systems (VLSI); NCR/Teradata, IBM, DEC-VAX, utilizing DB2, RDB, ORACLE DBMS Systems.
  • Experience in Teradata, Big 5 Consulting, System Integrators, etc.
  • Experience in Design and implementation of relational DBs at an enterprise level
  • Experience in Teradata and/or Other Databases

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Large systems (VLSI); NCR/Teradata, IBM, DEC-VAX, utilizing DB2, RDB, ORACLE DBMS Systems.
  • Experience in Teradata, Big 5 Consulting, System Integrators, etc.
  • Experience in Design and implementation of relational DBs at an enterprise level
