The Group
The Teradata Global Support Organization is going to modernize customer support and we need the best Software Test Engineers to make this goal a reality. 

Our vision is to optimize customers’ Teradata solution performance and availability, through automated analytics-driven predictive/proactive issue resolution while enabling Customer self-service. Specifically, we are developing an analytics software system for customer support which will:

• Utilize data and analytics to predict Customer operational issues
• Proactively provide solutions to avoid impact to Customer operations
• Enable Customers to quickly and easily resolve their own problems
• Assist Customer Support Associates to quickly resolve customer issues

The Role
In this role, you will be working within the Teradata Service Analytics team. This team is dedicated to automating and transforming customer support from reactive to proactive by leveraging data analytics.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for testing the service analytics software in a fast-paced agile environment. 

Your Background

• Fluent English (Written & Verbal)
• USA B1 Visa (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and 2+ years of experience OR a Masters Degree in Computer Science 
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts
• Experience with requirement analysis, defect tracking, coordinating with team members and test reporting
• Prior experience in writing/maintaining test automation in Python
• Proficient with testing backend applications and RESTful Web services
• Experience with Linux/UNIX commands and Shell scripting
• Experience with performance testing using tools like JMeter
• Working knowledge of enterprise relational databases and SQL
• Working knowledge of CI/CD applications like Jenkins
