About the Opportunity
Position: Vice President, Managed Financial Services
We are looking for a dynamic and proven leader that can serve as our Vice President, Managed Financial Services (VP, MFS) and can continue to transform the global transactional accounting functions. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, this position will serve as the lead role for the enterprise managing all financial shared services and is included in the Chief Financial Officer’s extended leadership team. The role will oversee several accounting transactional teams and lead the company’s financial shared services including Accounts Payable, AR Credit and Collections, Payroll, Incentive Compensation and Order Management/Customer Billing. The role will have several direct reports including Director/Manager roles over each of the areas referenced above. Also, this role will serve as a senior leader managing the company’s global outsourced financial transactions which currently include Accounts Payable, AR Credit and Collections and Order Management/Customer Billing in various areas of the world. The VP, MFS will work closely with the VP, Corporate Controller on numerous accounting activities, including month/quarterly close activities and have ownership of the Company’s various financial transaction systems. Across the Company, the VP, MFS will ensure appropriate accounting, continued evolution of scalable and efficient procedures and processes, timely documentation of procedures and related policies, adherence to policies and procedures, and instill strong internal controls. The role will have significant influence across the organization and will be a key liaison with IT to progress our systems transformation agenda including the replacement of our ERP solution.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Shared Service Services Vision and oversight of the financial systems
Operational Controllership: Evaluate and continually improve accounting procedures, processes and systems to ensure standardized close process and efficient operations. Set up new entities, review consolidated financial statements and provide guidance to the team in all aspects of accounting and operations.
Financial Shared Services: Oversee the operations of the financial shared services center services including Accounts Payable, AR Collections, General Ledger, Payroll, Incentive Compensation and Order Management/Customer Billing, utilizing both internal and outsourced resources. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes through continuous improvement and an operational focus.
Team Management and Development: Manage a global in-source team with multiple direct reports located in the United States, Europe, CLA, and Asia. Develop future financial talent through training and mentoring of individuals, as well as staffing and recruiting of necessary skill sets. Also, manage a global team of out sourced processing functions.
Internal Controls and Company Policies: Responsible for proactively ensuring the effectiveness and adequacy of policies, procedures and controls over financial transaction processes, creating new/improved mechanisms, policies and procedures when necessary. Oversee the internal SOX process from design to execution phase and ensure key controls are in place and operating effectively.
Coordination with Independent Auditors: Serve as an interface with the independent public accountants for coordination and conduct of their annual audit.
Financial Systems: Develop and execute the financial systems strategy driving to gain efficiencies and align reporting across the finance organization.
This position is located in our Finance and Accounting hub in Atlanta, GA. (We will, of course, take care of relocation as required…) and will require periodic international travel to our various accounting centers.
Total Compensation Approach:
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus, 401(k), strong work/family programs, medical, dental and disability coverage, and is eligible for our annual equity grants.
