Our summer internship program lasts 10-12 weeks beginning in May/June 2020 and ending in August/September. Fast-paced, flexible, fun. The Teradata culture isn’t just about one kind of person. The Marketing Operations intern will support the Global Marketing organization in ensuring that the corporate brand is consistently represented across external industry websites, as well as throughout our internal resources and content. This internship provides exceptional exposure to how content is leveraged across all functions of the corporation and the importance of consistent brand experience for customers, industry influencers and employees.
Develop a proficient understanding of the Teradata Global Marketing brand guidelines.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the brand positioning needs across websites and content.
Uncover industry organizations in the external digital universe to opportunities to how they represent the Teradata brand (based on most current corporate brand guidelines); examples include: Captera, G2 Crowd, Market Watch, Reuters, New York Stock Exchange, Fidelity, Wikipedia. Contact those sites via email and phone calls to ensure updates of:
- Logo and corporate description
- Teradata executive leadership names and titles
- Product and service descriptions
Search for customer/prospect-facing Teradata content that does not reflect the current brand; work with content owners to update content to current brand guidelines.
- Contracts and service agreements
- Sales proposals
Evaluate internal webpages to identify linked content in need of brand updates; work with content owners to facilitate updates to current brand guidelines.
- Human Resources
- Corporate Policies and guidelines
Work with our Global Alliances organization to ensure that our alliances, systems integrators and software partners are utilizing updated brand messaging.
Search Social Media (Twitter, Linked In) for off-brand content posted by industry organizations; collaborate with management for appropriate resolution.
Work with Content Operations team to update Global Marketing intranet SharePoint sites and sub-pages to reflect a consistent look, feel and navigation (SharePoint page setup training can be provided as needed)
Other special projects as needed
- Must be enrolled in a BS/BA program pursuing a Business/Marketing or equivalent degree; with a graduation date between December 2020-June 2022.
- Self-motivated, organized and deadline-driven
- Highly organizing with good follow-through
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
