The payments landscape is changing fast. New technologies and regulations are drastically impacting the way consumers can pay. New customer segments have different demands and expectations, affecting the way they want to pay.
The successful candidate with work with account teams across Asia Pacific, using their subject matter expertise in Payments and related disciplines to engage banking customers in how analytics can enable innovation, underpin transformation and help solve their most pressing issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Develop an engagement strategy and support deals that will place Teradata in a strategic position, and will deliver a base of long-term sustainable business in the APAC market
· The right candidate will be engagement-focused and will deliver high-quality partnerships built on senior relationships
· Work across groups both in APAC and Teradata worldwide to pull in correct stakeholders
· Ability to develop a channel & referral partner strategy and execute upon it
· Creative thinker with the ability to envision various deal structures
· Understand and effectively explain the benefits of digital payment solutions, and the associated business impact for customer stakeholders
· Effectively explain Teradata’s position in supporting digital payment solutions, and the additional business benefits available from engaging with Teradata in this area
· Alignment with Sales, Product & Key Partnerships, guiding strategy for Teradata technologies and their integration in the payments markets
· Understands key target verticals in terms of solutions dynamics and payments capabilities
· Leads initiatives to analyse complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
· Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis.
· Advises business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Must have corporate strategy, business development, sales or management consulting experience
· 5-10 years of experience working with independent software vendors, integrated payment providers or relevant industries
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Prior experience in technology and services, preferably in Fintech, Payments or Consulting
· Proven ability in managing complex relationships & integrations from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue enablement
· Effective problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to assess situations, evaluate options and define strategies
· Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent command of English
· A team-oriented approach with an ability to form relationships at various levels both internally and externally
· Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies
· International travel of up to 60% should be expected
