Summary Description:

The Teradata Senior Manager, Governance and Risk Management will be working on customer engagements as a Cloud Security expert. These responsibilities include communicating directly with customers and account teams, managing communication and dissemination of audit and security material, and ensuring that Teradata Cloud meets customers’ requirements and applicable security standards.

An ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about security, compliance and business outcomes, can articulate security practices to customers and account teams, is detail oriented and able to operate effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted security advisor to customers and account teams
  • Meet with prospective and current customers and sales teams to ensure that the Teradata Cloud
  • Security and compliance features are understood
  • Present Cloud security architecture and programs to customers
  • Manage contract reviews, respond to customer security questionnaires and establish credibility with the Cloud as-a-service security program.
  • Develop and curate security audience specific content to address diverse customer security requirements
  • Build and maintain pre-sales process and dashboards to provide visibility and timely response to Teradata teams
  • Develop and maintain field enablement training and educational materials for selling Teradata cloud offerings.
  • Track and maintain deal pipeline to provide visibility to demand and ensure prioritization
  • Continuous process improvement of existing and future processes supporting the field on pre-sales support.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to learn and apply technical information which will be needed to gain a solid understanding of the Teradata Cloud technical and business environment, security frameworks and industry best practices.
  • 2+ years in a role requiring technical knowledge of current cloud security models & technologies with both AWS and Azure.
  • 5+ years in a technical sales or pre-sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and maintain composure when under pressure from customers
  • Strong understanding of contractual language as it pertains to security language and technical impacts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with security and privacy controls deployed in large enterprise cloud environments
  • Ability to clearly communicate information security concepts and complex technical topics to a wide audience of both technical and non-technical personnel (customers, auditors, legal staff, engineers)
  • Execution oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on outcomes driving impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security/systems or related experience preferred but not required
  • CCSP, CCSK, AWS Certified Solutions architect or equivalent certifications are highly desired.
