Teradata is currently looking to fill the role of Global Head of Commercial Operations. The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of GTM Operations. The Global Head of Commercial Operations is a strategic leader in the company and is member of the Global GTM Ops Leadership Team.

This role is responsible for leading the Commercial Operations organization within Teradata that supports 1500+ demand creation roles and $2B in revenue, generating competitive offers to customers and prospects that are consistent with Teradata’s strategy and drive profitability. Specifically, this strategic function is designed to support the sales team during the sales process including

  • Drive automation and efficiency within sales support processes, including pricing operations, renewals operations, system configuration/sizing operations, and proposal / RFx management
  • Work closely cross-functional stakeholders to simplify sales support from pricing strategy definition to order booking / delivery
  • De-risk customer value proposition by aligning to the Teradata governance process
  • Improve field time to market and accuracy while improving customer satisfaction
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate and drive business decisions in an ambiguous environment, including product management, marketing, engineering, operations, and finance partners
  • Develop and execute communications, change management, and stakeholder engagement plans
  • Oversee and manage the cradle to grave definition and execution of the assigned business/technology transformation program including multiple workstreams or projects
  • Track and report key commercial operations KPI’s to the organization

The Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience in the software industry working with multiple areas of the organization, especially Sales, Consulting, Finance, Product Management, and Marketing
  • Expert in problem solving, Business Management experience preferred
  • Top 5 consulting firm preferred
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP certification preferred
  • This candidate should be detail oriented, articulate, and has strong story-telling skillset
  • Demonstrated skill at building strong working relationships and influencing both internal and external stakeholders at all levels; has passion and convictions and the innate ability to inspire passion in others
  • Proven ability to build, drive and motivate a team to highest level of engagement and effectiveness.
  • Naturally collaborative with a bias for action
  • Demonstrable analytical skills using data to derive actionable insights and drive decisions in a business environment
