Teradata is currently looking to fill the role of Global Head of Deal Management. The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of GTM Operations. The Global Head of Deal Management is a strategic leader in the company and is member of the Global GTM Ops Leadership Team.

This role is responsible for managing the regionally-based Deal Management organizations within Teradata that support 1500+ demand creation roles and $2B in revenue, generating competitive offers to customers and prospects that are consistent with Teradata’s strategy and drive profitability. Specifically, this strategic function is designed to support the sales team during the sales process including

  • Deliver on company overall margin objectives
  • Develop customer deal strategy in conjunction with sales
  • Manage teams executing profitability and scenario analysis for opportunities
  • Ensure deal structures are aligned to customer objectives and Teradata strategy
  • Improve field time to market and accuracy while improving customer satisfaction
  • De-risk customer value proposition by aligning to the Teradata governance process
  • Project manage complex and large opportunities including technical solutions, consulting, support, contracts/legal, revenue recognition, and competitive analysis
  • Work closely with the Commercial Operations organization to ensure long-term deal support processes support Deal Management objectives
  • Track and report key commercial operations KPI’s to the organization

The Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience in the software industry; including experience in Sales Management
  • Demonstrated history of meeting/exceeding quota attainment
  • Expert in problem solving, Business Management experience preferred
  • This candidate should be detail oriented, articulate, and has strong story-telling skillset
  • Demonstrated skill at building strong working relationships and influencing both internal and external stakeholders at all levels; has passion and convictions and the innate ability to inspire passion in others
  • Proven ability to build, drive and motivate a team to highest level of engagement and effectiveness.
  • Naturally collaborative with a bias for action
