Key responsibilities
• Strategic decisions/planning - Ensure Transcend is successful in achieving its strategic goals.
• Portfolio Strategy – Partner with Transcend leadership on 3, 5, and 10 year strategies, and lead transcend’s role in developing Teradata’s longer-term strategic initiatives.
• Visibility and career advancement potential – As one of the primary faces of Transcend, build relationships and effectively navigate cross-organizational boundaries to collaboratively deliver on our commitments.
• Aligning new product/program opportunities – Partner with the Transcend leadership team to align roadmaps and evaluate/adopt emerging technologies.
• Platform advancement/expansion – Evaluation, recommendation of, and on-boarding of new platforms and deployment environments, such as networking, architecture, security, application stack expansion/replication, data migration, and data synchronization.
• Technical program management – Influence and drive enterprise initiatives that have implications across many business areas and across multiple Transcend verticals. These initiatives need more than typical Program/Project Mgmt. They need technical/architectural influence upfront on the Business/Eng approach, as well as solution guidance for how Transcend should address the initiative in a way that aligns with our strategy.
• Ecosystem Architecture – Partner with Engineering and Product Management to advance our solutions with efficient ecosystem components/processes across all environments. Work with other Transcend teams to create a viable and global enterprise architecture and implementation through partnership with IT.

● Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate complex concepts to management, team members as well as non-technical audiences
● Exceptional ability to impact and influence business results where cross group collaboration is required using strong facilitation and consensus building skills
● Is expected to address important issues that don’t directly fall into one specific function but are critical issues to address for the Transcend organization
● Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to travel as needed

Basic qualification:
● BA/BS in a technically relevant field
● 10+ years of Product Management experience in a software technology business
● Deep knowledge with “as a service” model
● Deep understanding of analytics eco system
● Proven ability to execute over the entire product lifecycle guided by performance metrics
● ‘Outside-in’ viewpoint, fully aware of the competitive set and industry trends, and how to reconcile with company strategy
● Ability to create and own the product vision and manage the product backlog from user centered perspective
● Proven track record of taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
● Analytical background sufficient for pricing / margin / elasticity analysis
● Proven ability to manage and scale a business from a product management perspective
Preferred Qualifications:
● Deep understanding of open source data platform technologies and markets to support data integration and analytics tasks at scale
● Deep understanding of relational database technology and market
● Hands on experience with public cloud technology, and a good market understanding
● Familiarity with IoT technologies, use cases and market trends and leading PaaS offerings, e.g. Cloud Foundry and OpenShift
● Ability to analyze competitors, do SWOT analysis, and estimate market potential of feature and product
● Practical experience in the application development environment Teradata, Oracle, Vertica, ETL, Hadoop and Big Data Solutions, No SQL and operational knowledge of third party GUI and data transformation tools (like Pentaho, COGNOS, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Informatica and others)
● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment
● Profound experience in managing the product life cycle management in AHA
