As a Automation Test Engineer in Teradata’s Transcend organization, you will be a member of our internal Analytic Platform Services team responsible for helping the business drive key business outcomes from our own data.

Role and Responsibilities
• Participate in Agile development processes with a focus on test case authoring and automated testing to support software quality efforts.
• Create and execute complex test plans and procedures that mimic real-life customer scenarios.
• Build out and enhance our various automation test frameworks and process.
• Troubleshoot issues and tests; analyze product resource utilization and recommend alternatives to improve product stability.
• Assist product engineers in the identification and resolution of product defects.
• Provide suggestions for improving testing efficiency

Qualifications
• Strong background in designing or extending existing test frameworks
• Programming experience with Java, Python, and SQL
• Strong background in developing automation tests and automation test suites.
• Strong background in creating automated tests for web services and data flows
• Experience with continuous automation execution using CI tools like Jenkins is required
• Experience setting up and maintaining Test Environments
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies and on Agile teams
• Experience with SCM tools like GIT, and code quality tools like Sonar/Coverity is preferred
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes a plus
• Experience with Teradata a plus
• Experience with security validations a plus

Requirements
• 5+ years related industry experience
• B. S. in Computer Science or related field
• Must be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment with an emphasis on collaborating and assisting the team to meet business objectives
