External Description:

This role will provide the APAC region Customer Support & Services and Solution business analysis and support with respect to Teradata Managed Services operations and results.  In this role, you will track, review, reconcile and report on labor, projects costs, variances, expenses and revenue/margins.  You will provide guidance to the organization and develop financial outlook for management and Teradata Geo and Region leadership.  Directly reporting to the APAC CS&S Region VP, this position will oversee and run processes critical to the success of the assigned region and Managed Services business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES     

  • Provide planning, budgeting, and P&L forecasting analysis for the assigned Managed services Geo and Region, while working closely with the respective Services Account Managers, Services Experience managers, GEO CS&S leads, F&A and sales ops leads across APAC.
  • Act as key player and process owner for the consulting monthly forecast and annual plan processes
  • Work with the Business Leaders and Finance Managers to produce the monthly Outlook ensuring the accuracy, integrity and feasibility of these consolidated Outlooks, analyse and explain variances, prepare the P&L, identify risks/upsides and submit the final committed Outlook to the GEO and APAC leadership team
  • Contribute to improvements in the overall productivity and profitability of the Managed Services business through performance analysis supported with recommendations.
  • Continual promotion of Teradata ethics and compliance by working with Services management and supporting operational reviews, audits, process reviews and compliance audits implementing recommendations based on findings from these audits
  • Actively participates in the selection/development, training, and deployment of Services systems and tools including Teradata’s PSA system.
  • Provide ad hoc and periodic reports and business analysis to Teradata Customer Support & Services management.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field is required
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years experience working with large data sets to provide analysis, forecasting, and ad hoc information
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or oversight, often within tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with people in an open, friendly, accepting manner
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606/IFRS 15 and POC (Percentage Of Completion) principles
  • Experience of reporting in a multi-currency environment
  • Results oriented, conveying a sense of urgency and driving issues to closure
  • Experience supporting a consulting services business as a Financial Planning Analyst or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Teradata solutions
  • Experience with FinancialForce, Changepoint or other Accounting, Billing, Professional Services Automation (PSA), Revenue recognition, and Human Capital Management (HCM) tools.
