The mission of Teradata’s Consulting organisation is to leverage data and analytics to solve high-value business problems for our customers, generating annual recurring revenue (ARR) for the company and consumption of Teradata Vantage.

Role Description

Reporting to the VP EMEA Consulting Delivery, the EMEA Region E&E Leader is responsible for effective execution of the Consulting charter and strategy within the company’s operating and GTM models to drive operational excellence, increase market-facing time, and improve customer satisfaction and Consulting margins.   This includes managing key operational functions such as resource and capacity management, delivery assurance, governance, risk management and delivery practice operations.  The EMEA E&E leader will be responsible for working with the Region Practice leaders and the Global Consulting team to design and implement the region workforce strategy and capabilities, investments to improve services standardization and automation, and alignment with Sales and other business partners to deliver on the business plan.

Key Areas of Responsibility 

  • Execution excellence including process innovation and monitoring; metrics, KPIs and analytics; Consulting delivery tools and automation; and communications support within and outside Consulting. Includes working closely with Global Consulting E&E leader to ensure consistent design.
  • Operationalize regional career, leadership and management development programs in partnership with HR to attract, grow, and retain world class consulting talent in conjunction with Global program design
  • Identify and manage investments to develop, maintain and support methods, delivery tools, accelerators and practice capabilities
  • Resource Management including staffing and near- to mid-term headcount forecasting aligning with order and revenue forecasts
  • Risk management and mitigation processes, effectively managing quality and risk metrics pre- and post-sales to reduce the cost of quality over time
  • Consulting Program Office to manage the meeting, planning and reporting cadences, interface with company PMO, manage recurring processes such as annual planning, and support the implementation and change management of special projects such as FFDC
  • Ensure alignment with business partners supporting Consulting, monitor successful delivery against agreed-to SLA's
  • Executive sponsor of strategic projects to improve Consulting operations and capabilities

Skills and Experience 

Proven Practice Leadership:

  • Proven practice leadership skills & experience
  • Experience leading a complex technical consulting competency or delivery management team
  • Experience leading an Analytic-focused consulting org highly desirable
  • Leads Change: Knows how to meet diverse challenges and manage resistance to change initiatives.
  • Facilitates & Fosters Collaboration: Engages others and gains participation in collaborative efforts.
  • Produces Results: Reliable track record in develop, managing and executing against a plan

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of large, complex analytic delivery programs
  • Experience in resource management, capacity planning (short and long term), related systems, tools and processes
  • Experience in consulting risk management – contractually, operationally, project and people based
  • Experience with defining and using key consulting business metrics – working proactively with business leaders
  • Experience designing requirements for, managing implementation and roll out of PSA systems
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
