External Description:

The Teradata Human Resources team is expanding and building capabilities to further drive our company and function’s transformation. We are seeking a highly skilled, business-minded, experienced HR leader to partner with the Americas Consulting organization. 

As the Head of HR (Director) for the Americas Consulting organization you will represent an employee population of ~800 employees throughout both North and Latin America. This leader will be a member of multiple leadership teams, including the Americas Consulting Leadership team and the Global Teradata Consulting HR Leadership team.

You will be part of both a company transformation and HR transformation. This leader will be pivotal in driving a new culture and standard with the region business and the HR team.

This position is part of next generation of the Teradata HR Business Partner, working side-by-side with their business units or functional executives driving Organizational Effectiveness (OE), drawing upon extensive business and HR acumen to provide advice and counsel to the business leaders and client group.

You will:

  • As a credible, trusted advisor you will provide solutions and recommendations for operational effectives and improved business outcomes
  • Lead, implement and drive to completion talent projects
  • Play a key role in setting the new standard for HR and helping to reshape, drive, and establish the HR model and culture moving forward
  • Manage and develop a small team of direct reports
  • Set, deliver, and drive accountability against the Regional HR and client group business objectives
  • Have a roll-up-your-sleeves focus with regional leaders to execute business processes, build capabilities, and lead Country HR members to locally deploy initiatives within regions
  • Help develop and coordinate the realization of the roadmap and strategy for and implementing human capital programs and initiatives globally and regionally.
  • Execute go-to-market enablement programs through a matrix of local generalists across the Americas Consulting team
  • Deeply understand the business and how HR can influence the business
  • Have a point of view, appropriately challenge assumptions, and work side-by-side with your client group to move ideas to implementation
  • Support M&A, integrations, and reorganization activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience as an HR Business Partner and/or HR COE leader
  • Experience in mid-to-large, global companies, with global program deployment responsibilities
  • Experience successfully managing change and promoting innovation and continual improvement
  • Critical knowledge of HR practices, principles and procedures based on working closely with colleagues across the HR function and internal partners
  • Ability to create and lead highly effective, efficient, and successful teams and working atmosphere
  • Drive environments that fuel excellence, hold high standards, and take a practical, but innovative approach to human capital
  • Experience managing projects, including defining scope, managing budgets, driving deliverables, meeting deadlines, and managing competing priorities
  • Experience working with modern HR technology (Workday), strong Office skills, and data analytics (Power BI) skills
  • Ability to align and integrate disparate talent management programs embracing the global approach, and regional focus with respect toward localization and business applicability
  • Able to travel occasionally (<20%)
