External Description:

Teradata Analytics Applications is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer capable of building the next generation of data acquisition technology to land ERP data in Teradata for greater customer insights. The EAS Program started as a solution for SAP ERP but has expanded to also cover Oracle’s and Peoplesoft ERP. The ideal candidate should have experience with the implementation of data replication or movement tools.

Responsibilities

Define, test and implement and document data replication procedures.
Define new data acquisition requirements and methods.
Design and implement new data models for leveraging new business focused data models for SAP data
Deliver 3^rd level support to our customers, includes taking rotating on-call responsibilities on weekends and off-hours
Work with engineers in the USA, India and West Europe (mostly Netherlands) to implement software components for data acquisition, -integration, data models and analytics.

Qualifications

Experience with data replication tools (such as HVR, Informatica IDR, golden gate, Attunity)
Experience with relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL*Server, DB2, HANA)
Understanding of database client software and middleware
SQL knowledge & experience
Network knowledge
Broad OS knowledge (Windows, Linux, AIX) and basic familiarity with working at the command line in each
Troubleshooting mentality.
Can work independently and effectively with general direction.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
University degree or comparable education.
Work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

Proven experience developing web applications in a highly transparent agile organization, with iterations, continuous integration and a drive for quality.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
Must be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment to meet business objectives.
Preferably located in Raleigh, NC; but are willing to consider candidates in San Diego
US citizen or Permanent Residency preferred.
