Location: San Diego, CA

Overview:

Teradata has a career opportunity available for a Senior Compensation Analyst for our global sales and consulting organization. Under the guidance and direction of leadership, the Senior Compensation Analyst will be a strategic compensation partner responsible for supporting our global compensation programs from plan design through implementation and ongoing calculation and administration. 

You will: 

  • Act as an advisor to assigned HR Partners and business group management, providing recommendations on compensation matters that support of business goals and ensure market competitiveness
  • Participate in a core team of business, legal, finance and sales operations professionals to influence the development, execution and approval of our sales compensation programs and initiatives such as our annual sales incentive plan design and sales recognition programs
  • Provide analytical support, ongoing research, modeling and compensation analysis for our base pay and incentive programs
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyze effectiveness of sales compensation programs
  • Partner with other Compensation Partners to drive and influence the development and execution of compensation processes and initiatives such as incentive plan design and modeling, salary structures, job leveling and FLSA exemptions
  • Provide guidance on job evaluations, job leveling, and salary recommendations ensuring internal equity and market alignment of total compensation
  • Administer global annual salary planning processes, inclusive of merit, bonus, and equity in Workday; may partner with Finance in cost modeling and pay line analysis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required 
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive compensation experience
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and listening abilities are required to maintain effective partnerships with a wide variety of contacts
  • Proven project lead experience is required, including needs identification and assessment, gap and modeling analysis and solution design and implementation
  • Must be knowledgeable in multi-state wage and hour regulations, laws and programs 
  • Advanced skill level in Excel, including use of V-Lookups, pivot tables, and pivot charts is required 

Ideally you would have:

  • Experience with global compensation experience is highly preferred 
  • Experience with Advanced Compensation in Workday is highly preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred
