Join the IntelliCloud team as a Sr.Staff Cloud Services Engineer focused on building cutting-edge software for delivering cloud-based products and services. As a a Sr.Staff Cloud Services Engineer you will have the opportunity to build new applications and Infrastructure services from scratch as well as extending the functionality of existing applications and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Designing and developing Cloud services.
• Roughly 70-80% hands-on coding.
• Applies technical expertise to design and develop innovative solutions in the cloud.
• Utilizes understanding of DevOps and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions.
• Works in a cross-functional style to achieve results.
• Coaches and mentors less senior cloud engineers in software development techniques and cloud development. Ensures Performance, Availability, Security and Operations capabilities are instrumented in the software to create a “as-a-Service” experience for the customer.
• Be a key member who will drive the Technical DNA of the Cloud Services teams.

Qualifications:

• S. or higher in Computer Science or related field. 10+ years’ experience in professional Software Engineering, including agile development, in a team lead role.
  • Significant Experience developing distributed systems and cloud services that are scalable, reliable, secure, and supportable in AWS, Azure or other Public Cloud Environments
    • Extensive experience with REST API development, Software Containerization and Serverless Computing
    • REST API consumption and design (Build & consume services)
    • Software Containerization techniques like Docker, K8s
    • Serverless Computing using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
  • Experience developing telemetry, metrics and usage analysis through the use of monitoring and logging tools (like New Relic, Cloud Watch, Data Dog, ELK stack etc.). Familiar with the challenges surrounding efficient operations and failure mode analysis in large complex distributed systems.

• Minimum 1 year experience with cloud platform and distributed services, passion to learn cloud technologies.
• Extensive knowledge with Teradata DB internals and hands on experience with the following : 

• Good understanding of relational database concepts with strong analytical abilities
• Strong experience in design involving complex software in a parallel processing environment.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ with OOP concepts
• Expertise in Teradata installation, configuration and administration.
• Good understanding of Teradata Parallel Database Extensions(PDE) 
• Knowledge of BYNET interconnectivity and TVS (Teradata Virtual Storage)
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating system , shell scripting, system administration and kernel debugging skills will be added advantage.
