External Description:

This position develops and leads the brand strategy and positioning for the Teradata Brand. Key responsibilities include managing the brand system including mission, values, architecture, positioning, and naming within the brand system. The position strategically supports updating and monitoring the Teradata Cohesive Story. Key assets are promoted and maintained through Teradata’s internal repositories and external websites such as logos, templates, presentations, data sheets, corporate forms, and business cards. This position requires the candidate to be highly organized with strong project management skills with the ability to be autonomous in a fast-paced environment. Success in this positioned is measured by improvement in Brand awareness and perception. This is a pivotal position in the organization as Teradata builds market momentum, awareness and demand to drive innovation and growth.

 The Work

  • Perform brand reviews including visual, verbal, and legal elements to ensure alignment with brand standards
  • Team with key brand stewards in HR, Legal, Sales, and Marketing to maintain brand processes and policies
  • Provide brand strategy and guidance to international teams for consistent execution in-country marketing, global events, employee communications, demand gen and social media
  • Oversee Graphic Product fulfillment processes and operations
  • Serve as the key relationship owner for Teradata’s Store to deliver Branded store promotional items for customers and employees
  • Work with Legal Ethics & Compliance and Informational products to ensure code of conduct guidelines align to Teradata’s Brand
  • Perform Brand Training for key vendors and internal organizations to drive Brand consistency for messaging the brand identity system
  • Team with legal to ensure  copyright and trademark infringement issue for products, imagery, and Teradata Intellectual Property
  • Develop, update, improve policies, processes, and guidelines for greater scale and efficiency to drive brand consistency company-wide
  • Build brand advocacy/awareness among all Teradata associates
  • Optimize brand presence with key Teradata owned channels such as Teradata Analytics Universe and Teradata.com
  • Develop, update, deploy corporate-level brand marketing content including corporate boilerplates, overview brochure, and presentation
  • Collaborate with content and creative services to develop new brand assets to be used throughout the buyers’ journey
  • Team with Learning and Development to create New Hire Brand Assets
  • Assist Corporate Social Responsibility and Internal Communications team with executive communications and brand strategies
  • Manage and maintain Brand Sharepoint Resources Center, Marcom Central and Imagery repositories

Your Background

  • Effective leader in managing cross-functional relationships; self-motivated and results orientated
  • Superior strategic supplier relationship management
  • Ability to simplify complex technical messages and concepts and turn into digestible, readable content
  • Knowledge of translation and localization processes for all media including print, digital, web, video, etc
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of production processes for all media, including print, digital, video, social media
  • Previous marketing communications, employee, and/or corporate communications
  • Experience managing and directing vendors including graphic designers, writers, editors, production people
  • Background Digital Asset Management a plus
