Teradata is currently looking to fill the role of VP, Business Operations & Growth.   The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of GTM Operations, who reports to the CEO. The VP, Business Operations & Growth is a strategic leader in the company and is member of the Global GTM Ops Leadership Team.

This role is responsible for operating the Business Operations organization within Teradata that supports 1500+ demand creation roles and $2B in revenue, generating competitive offers to customers and prospects that are consistent with Teradata’s strategy and drive profitability. Specifically, this strategic function is designed to support the sales team during the sales process including:

  • Delivering on company overall margin objectives
  • Developing customer deal strategy in conjunction with sales
  • Drive automation and efficiency within the pricing process
  • Executing profitability and scenario analysis for opportunities
  • Ensuring deal structures are aligned to Customer objectives and Teradata strategy
  • Improving field time to market and accuracy while improving customer satisfaction
  • De-risking customer value proposition by aligning to the Teradata governance process
  • Project Managing complex and large opportunities including technical solution creation, consulting, support, contracts/legal, revenue recognition, and competitive analysis.
  • Tracking and reporting key pricing KPI’s to the organization
  • Working closely with Strategic Offer Management in continuous refinement of Teradata’s pricing strategy.

The candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years successful track record in sales management
  • Exceeded Quota attainment at least 75% during sales career
  • 5+ years of experience in the software industry within a number of different capacities, including Pricing, Project Management, Product Development, Sales, and/or Sales Engineer.
  • Expert in problem solving, Business Management experience preferred
  • This candidate should be detail oriented, articulate, and has strong story-telling skillset
  • High emotional intelligence required with 5+ years of experience in people management
  • Expertise required in windows applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
