The role

You will be based at our Cairo office and play a key role in providing accounting services to support the Finance division of Teradata in Egypt.

Job responsibilities

-Use documents to verify, record, and process transactions.

-Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.

-Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and to assist with audits and resolving discrepancies.

-Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.

-Communicate with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.

-Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures.

Profile

• ACCA, CMA, CA qualifications (partly qualified) or bachelor’s in accounting with accounting experience
• Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation
• High sense of ownership, exceptional time management, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Strong math and research skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls
• Proficient with MS Office products with advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented, well organized.
