Summary

 

The Salesforce CRM IT Scrum Master is responsible for successful delivery of all Salesforce platform sustaining releases and prioritized platform projects.  Position is responsible for all phases of the Agile solution development lifecycle for releases and projects which includes – backlog grooming, requirements validation, story estimations, story prioritization, sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint demos, release readiness, and sprint lessons learned sessions.  Position is also responsible for the administration and management of all software build management tools and services utilized by the Scrum team to execute on their job responsibilities.  The Scrum Master will guide and support all assigned members of the IT team and the business product owners as a member of the IT PMO organizing, coordinating and driving Salesforce platform programs and projects.  The Salesforce Scrum Master, working closely with the Salesforce Program Manager, will provide strategic guidance and day to day execution oversight to the Salesforce Scrum team ensuring successful delivery of prioritized workstreams.  The ideal candidate will be Salesforce certified, Scrum Master certified, proven IT project management professional with demonstrated success in leading highly successful Agile based software development teams. This is a highly hands on, in the trenches, tactical role running multiple Scrum teams in parallel.


Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for Scrum Ceremonies including:
  • Conducting Daily Scrum Calls
  • Conducting Sprint Planning Calls
  • Facilitating Sprint Demo's
  • Facilitating Sprint Retrospectives
  • Backlog Grooming
  • Managing all tools used in the Agile software development process
  • Removing Blockers for user story development
  • Removing impediments, or guiding the team to remove impediments, by finding the right solution based personnel to remediate issues
  • Facilitating and environment which produces a highly effective team focused on getting the work done.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the sprint
  • Assessing opportunities to increase the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to achieve higher levels of maturity
  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
  • Ability to develop Agile supporting processes and guide the team to adopt and embrace change
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with technical team members and product owners through Salesforce knowledge and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings where you will articulate complex concepts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team oriented approach to problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a high level of attention to detail

  • Plan, organize, lead and monitor the activities of the project team
  • Provide project risk analysis and mitigation planning
  • Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget and scope
  • Ensure projects’ objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders.
  • Develops projects’ scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Track the status of deliverables and any decisions made regarding Project Change Requests and outstanding issues
  • Utilize company release management, change management standards and procedures
  • Participate in and contribute to the IT PMO policies and procedures
  • Travel as required for successful delivery of initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Scrum Master Certified (CSM or PSM). Advanced Certification preferred.
  • 3-5 + years of SFDC experience
  • Experience in managing Salesforce Implementations and development as a Salesforce Scrum Master
  • SFDC project management experience delivering technology services or business consulting services as a project manager in large, complex technical environments
  • Must have Salesforce knowledge on configuration, customization & integration
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Well versed in Agile and specifically Scrum Agile
  • PMI PMP certification/training a plus
  • Demonstrable process development training and experience
  • 3-5 + years of SFDC experience
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Expert managing multiple, simultaneous projects and programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Experience managing projects with a global footprint
  • Experience collaborating with and supporting product owners
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage the expectations of stakeholders, team members, management and external partners
