POSITION SUMMARY

The GDC VP is responsible and accountable for the success of Teradata’s Global Delivery Centers (GDC) and its contribution to the overall success of Teradata’s Consulting organization.  This position will report to the Global Consulting Leader. The GDC consists of over 2400 consultants delivering the full portfolio of Consulting services to customers globally. The role is required to define, execute and operationalize the strategic vision of the GDC.

Key Areas of Responsibility 

  • Lead, manage and nurture a large, global, culturally diverse team of consultants in Teradata’s offshore and nearshore locations – India, Pakistan, Philippines and Czech Republic.
  • Partner with other regional Consulting and GTM leaders to execute our mission to drive Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Consumption as alignment to Teradata’s strategic ambition. 
  • Deliver on billability and productivity targets to ensure overall financial success for the GDC.
  • Through the practice structure develop and grow a competitive, high-quality team of consultants than can contribute to Teradata’s Consulting success.
  • Instill a culture of creating, capturing, and replicating reusable assets within the GDC in partnership with Service Offer Management (SOM) and the regions.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects and Managed Services which have GDC involvement.
  • Ensure global standardization of best practices and business processes.
  • Build strong client relationships to enable Consulting success. 

Skills and Experience:

  • 20 or more years of experience selling, staffing, and delivering projects and Managed Services and leading virtual Consulting Services organizations at global and/or region level
  • Excellent understanding of selling and positioning deals that make best use of nearshore/offshore at scale
  • Experience in managing a successful business and P&L. Excellent people development and talent management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in matrix organization where internal relationship building and credibility is critical. 
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to develop and solve business challenges. 
  • Exceptional consulting skills in communicating, establishing of strategic direction, influencing others, negotiating skills, operational decision making, problem solving, facilitating and managing meetings, and questioning and probing. 
  • Highly skilled in organizational management, value proposition development, solution selling, focusing on the customer, sales ability / persuasiveness, and business needs analysis. 
  • Good understanding of market trends and technologies within analytics and data warehousing. 
  • Excellent customer executive and senior level relationship building capabilities. 
  • Good understanding of analytics and data warehouse business and key processes, products, solutions and service offers.
  • S. in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related) minimum
  • MBA or M.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related) desired, but not mandatory
