Azure DevOps Engineer

External Description:

An Azure DevOps Engineer is responsible for the Managing Azure Infrastructure deployed for Hadoop Ecosystem. Delivery responsibilities in the areas of cloud network administration, security administration, instantiation, provisioning, optimizing the environment, third party software support. DevOps Engineers implement security best practices and analyzing the partner compatibility and support Hadoop Team to manage Azure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support 24x7 Azure environments for multiple customers
• Devise and implement security, operations best practices
• Throughput monitoring, load balancing, improving the overall system health by optimizing the key Azure resources
• Managing Azure VPN Services
• Managing Billing & Cost Management
• Managing CI/CD for Hadoop Application

Desirable Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator / Engineer role
• Hands on experience with Azure and strong understanding of Azure capabilities and limitations
• Should have good knowledge of Azure services for Compute, Storage, Network and OS
• Should have experience in Enterprise VPN and Azure virtual LAN with data center
• Experience in the Azure components & APIs
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with Azure
• Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible
• Should have good understanding of data archive/restore policies
• Experience in versioning tool – SVN, Git
• Working experience in Linux administration, Shell Scripting
• Understanding of Hadoop Ecosystem

Additional Attributes  

• Readiness to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis with the team
• Readiness to travel
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and ITIL will be an advantage
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
• Good presentation, communication skills
