We have a great collaborative environment of engineers and PhDs with strong skills in data science and software development.

Your Opportunity

As an intern on our Data Science Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work with a mentor and the team to design, implement or enhance highly parallel analytic functions and other analytics-related software for Vantage, the Teradata analytics platform. You will research, innovate, experiment and prototype analytic features (i.e., functions and other components). There is room for innovation that may lead to intellectual property (patents) and you will have the great satisfaction of having contributed to a top-of-the-line product that helps many of the 1000 Fortune companies solve tough analytic problems. Your responsibilities during this internship may include:

  • Research, design, prototype highly scalable parallel analytics
  • Evaluate, investigate and improve the functionality of existing analytic functions
  • Research and develop features that facilitate the use of analytics in our product
  • Leverage TensorFlow to build powerful text analytics


  • Must be enrolled in a MS degree program pursuing Computer Science, Data Science or relevant discipline
  • Graduating dates between December 2019 – June 2021
  • Knowledge of machine learning
  • Good programming skills in Java and Python
  • Capable of reading and understanding data science research papers
  • Good grasp of algorithms
  • Effective communication
