We’re looking for a Staff App Integration Engineer to work in our Teradata IntelliCloud group. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about automating development and production environments, owning a service from end to end, and love the challenge of working in highly distributed and dynamic Hybrid Cloud environment. In this role, you will be center to helping automate and operate the Teradata Ecosystem for our cloud customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and support highly available platforms on which to deploy the Teradata Ecosystem in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
  • Transform applications for multi-tenant Cloud Services.
  • Automate the deployment, configuration, and supportability of the Teradata Ecosystem.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as part of an escalation team to provide support for the Teradata Ecosystem and underlying platforms.
  • Collaborate with product teams to continually improve and optimize the Teradata Ecosystem for cloud environments.
  • Metric driven and focused on continual improvement.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams.
  • Strong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologies.
  • Automation is in your DNA.
  • Assist with problem resolution to root cause and take initiative in identifying and fixing broken processes.
  • Perform proactive analysis to prevent exposure to known software issues.

 Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience of Teradata Database and supporting Ecosystem.
  • 3+ years' experience deploying and supporting large scale, customer facing database systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of compute, storage, and networking.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Containers / Kubernetes.
  • Strong coding skills.
  • Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Terraforms, Chef, Puppet.
  • Working knowledge of Build and Integration systems, such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven, Ant.
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

 Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience deploying and supporting database systems in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Teradata Database and supporting Ecosystem.
  • Understanding of security best practices and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of quality and test systems, such as Selenium, Casper, Cypress.
  • Familiarity of 3rd party ecosystem applications, such as MicroStrategy, Protegrity, Informatica.
