This position is for a Data Modeling Senior Consultant who will be responsible for developing wide practice capabilities in SQL and NoSQL data modeling solutions. Additionally, they will be working on relevant messaging and positioning of our broad capabilities in designing and implementing solutions across a variety of SQL and NoSQL data platforms. The architect will work with account teams and clients to help scope, estimate and propose Data Modeling services – across a variety of Teradata and 3rd Party / Open Source technologies and products.

The Data Modeling Sr. Consultant will work with account teams to help establish a vision and develop win-themes for tactical implementation services as well as strategic adoption of our products and technologies, often working at client sites through-out the US and Canada.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years of deep hands-on experience designing and implementating logical, physical and semantic data models
• 5+ years of designing / implementing NoSQL and Hadoop / Open Source other technologies
• 10+ years related industry experience including atleast 3 years in a technical sales / presales capability
• Rich experience guiding clients on incorporating leading practices in the design and deployment of their data access solutions (logical layer, semantic access layer)
• Experience documenting, presenting and articulating architectural and implementation best practices in relation to Data Models
• Strong familiarity / in depth experience with Industry Logical Data Models
• Understanding Metadata and Metadata management tools for implementing in Analytic Ecosystems
• Ability to develop models based on user specifications and using a variety of modeling tools like ERwin and Power Designer etc.
• Ability to understand various non-functional requirements stated by clients relating to Information Privacy and Security, Performance and Scalability, Data Governance, Delivery methodologies and DevOps.
• Contribute to TD marketing / positioning collateral and present our approach, differentiators, innovation ideas at key conferences
• Bring cohesion to the notions of relational modeling and NoSQL modeling è socialize concept, educate / mentor / teach internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with Industry Data Modeling teams and help extend logical models by integrating specific non-relational models relevant to industriesAssist with pre-sales initiatives – develop and present SOWs, Proposals, topical presentations

• Working with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
• Experience with Teradata RDBMS a plus
• Developing leading-thought artifacts (White Papers, presentations, best practices) in and innovative approaches (methodologies) to virtualized data access è emphasis on agile DevOps approaches to data modeling
• Assume lead role in moderating the informal data architecture COP

Education and experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 10 years related experience
