External Description:

We are looking for an accomplished professional with extensive knowledge and practical experience to work with us as a Microsoft Power BI Developer in San Diego. To be successful, you should have an understanding of the Power BI platform and be able to develop new analytics dashboards, encourage sensible customizations, and conceive useful applications. You will also introduce emerging technologies to detect restrictions and resolve limitations while improving system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards with a focus on operational excellence, asset optimization, client experience, product innovation, finance transformation, and risk mitigation
  • Contribute to a variety of Agile development projects through participation in daily scrums, development sprints, demos, and sprint reviews
  • Cooperate with various business departments and subject matter experts to deliver new analytic capabilities and resources
  • Lead in system development, integration, and customization, to capture user stories that will lead to a better understanding of end-user requirements
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to understand corporate client service data architecture and assist with the migration of existing reports and interfaces from other platforms to Power BI.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence or Information Management
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI and data visualization
  • Proven ETL experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Data Marts, Data Stores, and Cubes
  • Proficiency in dealing with Data Quality, Profiling, Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL stored procedures, triggers, analytic functions, and tuning (desirable)
