We are looking for a software engineer to work at our prestigious Teradata R&D Labs at Hyderabad to be part of Teradata’s database internals team.

With primary development center in Hyderabad and two R&D facilities in Bangalore and Pune the team are in excess of 500 engineers. R&D Labs at Hyderabad is the biggest R&D division outside of San Diego facility, and has teams producing world class features for the Teradata database stack and its Unified Data Architecture. The Labs team in India work on wide variety of products and technologies including core database internals, both on the server and client side of the Teradata’s world renowned database platform, Aster, Hadoop, Teradata’s cloud offerings and performance engineering

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science

Role & Responsibilities

• Pursue a rigorous, disciplined approach to software development process and automation.
• Develop, test and maintain build & deployment scripts in CI/CD framework/tools to automate and research on latest tools and technologies in DevOps area and embrace them.
• Lead efforts in automation, continuous integration and deployment, build, and configuration management.
• Utilize various open source technologies and use various tools to orchestrate solutions
• Build independent tools, microservices and solutions
• Critical thinker, problem-solving skills and Team player
• Good time-management, Interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in R&D based teams
• Strong working knowledge in Python, Shell, Groovy and Ruby
• Strong working experience in container technology like Docker and kubernetes
• Strong Working experience in Jenkins (Pipelining, build orchestration etc.,)
• Experience with automation /configuration management using Ansible
• Background in Linux/Unix Administration (Suse/Redhat/Ubuntu) is advantage
• Experience with the ELK monitoring suite and other monitoring and analysis tools such as Splunk, Sitescope, Nagios.
• Experience in REST, JSON
• Agile methodology and Scrum

Preferred skills

• Programming knowledge
• Knowledge in infrastructure architecture
• Ability to work effectively in a team

for highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, and load balanced server clusters.
