External Description:

Responsibility:

• Focus on providing Strategic/Target/Named business sales support of Teradata integrated data warehouse and big data solutions including hardware, database, software and professional services and related technology products including BI and ETL tools.
• Help secure new engagements by demonstrating how Teradata everywhere/Analytics Platform and big data products and services can solve the customer’s business problems. Support sales motions, demonstrations, and scoping of Teradata Professional Services offers.
• lead presale activitiesg. preparing proposals and carry out presentations
• Team work with sales team and related consulting team and other teams.
• Requires 30%+ travel with schedules determined by specific sustain customer demand.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above from top ranking university of China.
• 8+ years experience for related industries presale / project implementation.
• 8+ years experience in IDW/Analytics Platform and integrated Big Data solution presales and/or implementation.
• Deep knowledge in Teradata IDW, Architecture methodology, and big data solution offering including platform, database, as well as third party BI and ETL products.
• In-depth and practical EDW, big data and BI experience in multiple industries
• Specialized in Teradata / Aster / opensource platform, HW/SW database and utilities etc.
• Energy, Automotive, Financial service, Retail, Telco industry experience will be advantages, but not limited.
• Experience of competitive like Teradata, Greenplum, Netezza, Exadata, DB2, Oracle, HANA will be an advantage. Familiar with other big data and opensource technology.
• Strong client communication, documentation, presentation and consulting skills.
• Ability to define the customer’s requirements within the context of their business.
• Ability to assess the customer’s opportunities, balance benefits and risks, build success factors of a potential solution.
