Data Integration Services Sub Practice Lead

The Integration Services Lead reports to the Teradata Americas Data Integration, Migration, Enterprise Applications Practice Leader and has responsibility for PS sales and delivery oversight for current and future accounts aligned with the Data Integration Service solution sales professionals. The Sub Practice lead is responsible for building, managing, and developing a high-performance services portfolio across existing and targeted enterprise accounts, ensuring that the team achieves its overall revenue and profit targets, while ensuring client success through oversight and management of the PS delivery process.

The role will be responsible for partnering with assigned sales professionals to sell and deliver Teradata third party integration portfolio solutions within the American’s geography within a PS Practice which is comprised of PS partners, project managers, business consultants, and technical consultants both on and off shore.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a growth-related vision and strategy that expands into new repeatable solution offers leading to new revenue channels

  • Drive the sales and delivery growth of the sub practice area while leveraging the other sub practice channels and offers
  • Lead and oversee approval for scoping, planning, cost estimating, and pricing of consulting projects. This includes statement of work development and risk assessment, including but not limited to defining goals and objectives, identifying and documenting client requirements, resource requirements, project budget, project risks, and the translation of the client's business requirements into specific deliverables.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of Professional Services Orders and Revenue on a monthly basis.
    • Provide management reporting on sales pipeline and project portfolio regarding schedule fidelity, adherence to budget, and escalation of issues.
    • Identify sales opportunities and coordinate PS pre-sales planning, project pricing, bid review, and presentation of sales proposals.
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders and resolution of all issues.
    • Oversee the delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within client expectations for quality and functionality.
    • Oversee the management of client acceptance for the solution and client expectations management are in line with the agreed statement of work.
    • Oversee the proper set up of the engagement in the time keeping system, ensuring consultants and contractors are always current with their reported time. Produces project financial and status reports from Teradata project tracking and reporting platforms.
    • Direct and indirect management, coaching, and skills development of PS pre- and post-sales delivery consultants.
    • Create a collaborative environment with the Think Big and Geo Leadership appraised of all projects in his/her industry.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor or Master's (preferred) degree in a technical or business discipline

 

  • At least 5-7 years' experience in selling and delivering consulting services (background in selling and delivering consulting services should be extensive and allow for examples of engagements where you were the primary leader of solution sales of more than $500,000 per account)
  • Demonstrable implementation experience with enterprise packaged software with a focus on process design, system configuration and integration
  • Ideal candidates will have sold and led delivery for Third Party ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio, and other Replication tools like Goldengate, IDR, HVR, and Attunity
  • Management consulting experience with large consulting or systems integration firms is a plus
  • Knowledgeable of methodologies to perform systems integration, package implementation and business process re-engineering
  • Demonstrated ability in developing proposals, creating value propositions, and selling up to seven figure consulting engagements
  • Demonstrable proficiency managing a project portfolio P&L
  • Effective engagement estimation capabilities
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering engagement oversight resulting in on-time, on-budget delivery of contracted services
  • Proven ability to sell follow-on service engagements to existing clients
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 80%) within the Americas, pole to pole
  • Proven track record of attracting and retaining top consulting talent
  • Experience overseeing engagement success with a geographical distributed group of presales and post sales consulting professionals
  • Proven ability to provide engagement management direction to Principal and senior consulting resources involved in complex client engagements
  • Certified from Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional (PMP), a plus.
