Marketing Enablement & Communications Program Manager (MEC)

The Teradata Americas Go-To-Market Operations Group is focused on driving overall effectiveness and efficiency for field initiatives including the following:

  1. Sales Strategy & Account Deployment
    2. Talent Management & Development
    3. Metrics & Measurement
    4. Marketing, Communications & Solution Deployment
    5. Sales Tools & Technology
    6. Sales Process Execution

The specific role of the MEC is concentrated on Marketing, Communications and Solution Deployment.

This position reports into the Revenue and Sales Operations Lead but directly supports the Government VP&GM. The MEC role will lead both strategic and operational marketing responsibilities for the VP&GM. The Government is considered a Geographic Business Unit (Geo). This role will work “hand in glove” with the specific geographic Revenue and Sales Operations Lead who concentrates in the other areas noted above.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Sales and Marketing events such as tabletops and trade shows
    1. Control budget and spending for Geo specific events
    2. Execute Americas Level sponsored programs in the Geo
    3. Coordinate with corporate marketing event team
    4. Manage pre and post event logistics such as promotion on social media and lead follow-up
  2. Field communications to Geo
    1. Must drive Geo specific communications while dovetailing into corporate communications
    2. Provide feedback on gaps, needs, etc.
  3. Solution Deployment
    1. Tactical collateral & IP Capture and Knowledge Deployment
    2. Support other operations as required
    3. Supports educational programs (enrollment, logistics…)
    4. Organization Metrics, Training & Communications, Process & Adherence
  4. Industry memberships and subscriptions
    1. Ensure sales team has access to appropriate tools and trainings
    2. Act as POC with external vendor
    3. Connect sales team to key events and content in their respective territories
    4. Support the monitoring and identification of RFP/RFI/Market Survey releases from the Government.
  5. Campaign and Lead Management
    1. Work with Marketing Director to execute marketing campaigns in the Geo
    2. Coordinate calls and communications with sales team
    3. Develop lead lists from marketing and sales databases (in conjunction with corporate teams)
    4. Maintain close loop lead process – from lead generation to contact to sales follow-up

Candidate must adapt to the VP&GM’s (Geo) operational nuances as they execute marketing strategies to achieve annual objectives. It is required that the candidate have or must develop a strong working knowledge of Teradata’s corporate go to market strategy and solutions portfolio. Where applicable, an understanding and use of Teradata internal systems, organizational structure, and ability to work within a multi-discipline team is highly desirable.
Education and Experience Requirements:

It is preferred the candidate has 5+ years’ experience in the Government industry experience in any or all the following disciplines: Marketing, Event Planning/Delivery and Communications. Other experience in Sales, Sales Support or Business Operations is valued. The candidate must have the ability to work in a strong sales culture.

Experience and knowledge within the Advanced Analytics & Decision Support industry is a strong advantage.

The candidate must exhibit:
• strong leadership skills and demonstrate self-motivation
• have strong oral and written communication skills
• ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a virtual team environment
• Microsoft Office suite expertise is required with strong presentation skills and ability to present to large groups and confident in managing executive relationship

Experience is critical. Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Marketing and or Business Administration. MBA desirable but not required.
