Global Technology Director

We are looking for a Global Technology Director who will utilize his or her expertise to help build a world-class Customer Service and Support technology environment that will be utilized globally across all facets of Teradata CS&S. You will focus on implementing both top-level strategic and innovative technology solutions, as well as day-to-day tactics that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and value. You will collaborate with other Global Directors to ensure the decisions are aligned with industry best practices. You should be equipped with broad business orientation focused on customer support and associated key competencies that include technical expertise within either Salesforce Service Cloud or ServiceNow, business process automation, Agile principles, and strategic partnership development.

 

Teradata is embarking on a transformation journey to standardize and modernize our people, processes, and tools across Customer Support and Services.  We are establishing “practice areas” to lead us through the transformation and to provide on-going operational support. The Global Technology Director will help lead us in this journey.

 

Primary Responsibility

 

  • Define, design, collaborate, coach and lead the organization to implement an Agile strategy
  • Work closely with the Global Business Process Director and Global Customer Experience Director to receive input and determine best fit for configuration or customization within either Salesforce Service Cloud or ServiceNow
  • Develop short and long-term vision and strategic plans for the CS&S technology transformation with objectives, plans, and operating requirements
  • Lead and direct top-tier scrum teams and subject matter experts to drive the short, long-term and strategic vision for the technology roadmap
  • Manage the improvement initiatives on converging business processes, Service Management, Asset Management and Change Management
  • Collaborate and work with other Global Directors to develop a unified and single roadmap that aligns with the organization strategy and goals
  • Maintain a strong desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as involving yourself in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies
  • Present regularly to a variety of audiences, defending your point of view and decisions
  • Work with the practice areas to gain visibility of up and coming demands
  • Set realistic expectations for both stakeholders and team members

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Must be located for willing to relocate to our San Diego, CA headquarters
  • 10+ years of experience in an enterprise customer services organization; preferably supporting Product, Solutioning, IT, or Consulting Services
  • Experience in the following:
    • Working in an agile environment & familiar with agile principles
    • Salesforce Service Cloud or ServiceNow
    • Enterprise-level Customer Services environment
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to convert business requirements to configurations within Salesforce Service Cloud or ServiceNow
  • Experience with enterprise-level change management best practices
