Accounting Specialist/GL Assistant (6 months fixed-term contract)

External Description:

As a junior accountant within the European Finance Centre, you will play a key role in providing accounting services to our Teradata organization in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Working with the Manager and other team members, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely accounting information. This will often involve close collaboration with other specialized departments.

Key Responsibilities
• Daily Bank Reconciliation for assigned EMEA countries/ Cash Management Liaising with AP & AR departments for any queries highlighting and resolving any issues
• Interfacing sub ledgers to General Ledger Correctly using Oracle software during Month End .
• Assisting in preparing journals and working collaboratively with Team members/ other within the organization,
• Balance Sheet Review & Reconciliation following up on reconciling items -and uploading the monthly Recs using Cadency certification/ AssureNET
• Assisting in preparation of Monthly/ Quarterly reporting .
• Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by your manager/ department requirements.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
• 1-2 years in a similar related role within a large multinational organisation, preferably within a shared services centre.
• Fluent in English and another EMEA language ideally
• Knowledge of MS Office, Oracle and Outlook
• Experience working with a virtual and offshore teams.
• Results orientated and driven for success
