We are adding to our team and our Informatica Cloud COE is seeking a highly skilled, creative and passionate professional to fill the role of “Informatica Cloud Architect”. Working closely with the business, application, security and IT infrastructure teams, the Informatica Cloud Architect will deliver on business commitments using repeatable, supportable architectural standards and frameworks designed in conjunction with the IT enterprise architecture team, to achieve long term goals and minimize technical debt within the IT organization.

Role Description 

This position will provide technical thought leadership to the extended IT organization at Teradata on how best to leverage our Informatica-based Enterprise iPaaS platform. The Informatica Cloud Architect will participate in the design of data integration approaches that meet business requirements, and leverage our corporate investment in our data integration platform. In addition, it is expected that this position will establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the product vendor, as well as the development teams that will use the integration platform. It is also expected that this position will contribute to the creation and maintenance of development standards for the effective use of the integration platform. 

Key Areas of Responsibility / Duties 

• Design and Develop the architecture, roadmap, and standards for the Informatica Cloud platform 
• Establish self as subject matter expert (SME) for efficient/effective use of Informatica’s Cloud Services iPaaS platform (earn “Trusted Advisor” status). 
• Establish and maintain an effective relationship with platform vendor to understand software release schedules, roadmap of product features, development best practices, etc. 
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various Teradata IT Development organizations to ensure consistent, supportable, and effective use of iPaaS platform. 
• Network effectively into Teradata’s Professional Services organization and Informatica COE. 
• Life-cycle manage IT’s computing infrastructure roadmap for iPaaS platform. 
• Design and maintain integration templates, define related standards, and review data integration development.

Skill/Education Requirements: 

BA/BS degree in an Information Technology or Business-related field required. 

• 5+ years of SaaS/PaaS/cloud experience with best in breed providers like Salesforce, Workday, Informatica, Eloqua, Amazon Web Services, Azure and other similar CSPs. 
• Experience with large scale migration from on-premise applications to SaaS/cloud platforms.
• Integration Experience with web services/API via REST/SOAP/OData/JSON and other protocols
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Power Center and/or Informatica Cloud Services.
• Windows and/or Unix scripting experience. 

 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Experience/Familiarity with Teradata RDBMS, Teradata SQL and Teradata 
utilities (BTEQ, MLOAD, TPT) desired – Teradata Certification a plus. 
• Experience with SAP BI tools (Business Objects Webi, Explorer, Dashboards, 
Lumira, etc.) or Microsoft Power BI a plus 
• Experience with Master Data Management applications, Metadata Management, and data modeling tools a plus. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovation 
• Experience working with remote development teams (on and off-shore a plus) 
• Strong communication, teaming and presentation skills 
• Excellent consultative, facilitation and consensus building skills 
• Passion for working with data and providing analytic business solutions
