Role Description:

 

This position is for a Big Data Platform Architect who will be responsible for:

• Install & Upgrade of Hadoop & other open source components on Production Systems
• Perform impact analysis for Upgrades / Downgrades of Open Source technology stack
• Should be able to interact with Client architects and recommend feasible approaches for system upgrades
• Should be comfortable in setting up Hadoop cluster on On-Premise / Cloud / Hybrid kind of environment.
• Should be able to recommend best practices and security implementations for data lake environments
• Performance Tuning & Optimization of Hadoop environments

Skillset Requirements:

• 10+ years total IT experience with strong technical background and 3-4 years in Big data platform management.
• Should have rich experience of implementing Security Best practices in Hadoop.
• Should be able to work with Infrastructure Team / DevOPS and other IT stake holders.
• Should have good understanding of technical systems, including enterprise, distributed and n-tier systems across multiple domains
• Experience with migrating legacy systems to Big data environments using Big Data ETL tools
• Experience with any RDBMS technologies, including Teradata, MS-SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, and MySQL.
• Should have very good proficiency with Linux / Unix OS.
• Knowledge of architectural standards (such as TOGAF and Archimate)
• Experience of coaching junior team members
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlogs.

• Cloudera / Hortonworks certified Hadoop Administrator Certification
• AWS Certified Solution Architect
• Spark Certification
