Job Summary: 
Teradata R&D Labs is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Advanced Analytics team. You will have an opportunity to work on the implementation and sustenance of various components of Teradata's highly scalable clustering database and advanced analytics engine. 

 

Tasks will include, working on all layers of the advanced analytics engine in various components that brings up the system and helps maintain the system running. You should be prepared to work across the stack along with India and US teams. This is a fast-paced high-tech environment and may require extended hours and after-hours follow up given the entrepreneurial nature of the team.

 

Required skills: 

• Strong C/C++ design and development experience
• Strong understanding of Linux operating system
  • Understanding of Linux internals is a plus
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience in Python development is preferred
• Experience with newer technologies such as Ansible, Docker Containers, Kubernetes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Work Environment: 

• This position is located in Hyderabad, India.

 

Preferred Experience and Education: 

• E/B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science Engineering. 
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Knowledge of database internals is a plus
