As DevOps Engineer in Teradata’s Transcend organization, you will be a member of our internal Analytic Platform Services team responsible for helping the business drive key business outcomes from our own data.

Role and Responsibilities
• Monitor, manage, and maintain team data flows and software processes.
• Build and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, reporting, and resolution capabilities.
• Extend and develop data processes and perform data administration tasks.
• Extend and support CICD processes supporting development, testing, and release.
• Create and execute installation, upgrade, migration, back-out, and recovery plans and procedures.
• Participate in agile process with a focus on product availability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze resource utilization, recommend product / team improvements.
• Assist product engineers in the identification and resolution of defects.

Qualifications
• Strong background in data management and operations
• Programming experience with Bash, Python, and SQL
• Data engineering and management experience with Teradata
• Experience with SCM tools like GIT
• Experience with CICD oriented tasks
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies and on Agile teams
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes a plus
• Experience with security validations a plus

Requirements
• 8+ years related industry experience
• Must be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment with an emphasis on collaborating and assisting the team to meet business objectives
