Fraud Alert
Be aware of scams involving phony job postings.
Teradata has recently become aware that individuals not associated with the company are making fraudulent job offers to work for our company. These individuals do NOT represent Teradata and these offers are for non-existent jobs. Teradata is working with law enforcement authorities to report and address the issue.
We regret that individuals are misrepresenting themselves as associated with Teradata. By making you aware of this, we hope to avoid, and ultimately prevent, unsuspecting individuals from falling victim to this scam, known as Recruitment Fraud. Recruitment fraud is normally perpetrated through online services such as bogus websites or unsolicited e-mails claiming to be from a real company. These websites and emails request that recipients provide personal information and ultimately payment to process applications for jobs that do not exist. Recent incidents involving Teradata came from a website called “Teradata-corp.com.” Teradata’s actual website domain is ‘Teradata.com.’
Here are some tell-tale indicators of possible Recruitment Fraud.
If you receive an email or are otherwise contacted by an entity you believe is not a legitimate Teradata representative, we suggest you do the following:
